An effective training resource, the Facilitated Online Learning (FOL) program for OpenGround, was reinstated in the UK earlier in 2023. The program involves working through an essential self-led element before joining the scheduled workshops to apply what you’ve learnt. For more information please see this article. The program has proved successful and popular, warranting its continuation and expansion. As such we are now offering some dates for the supporting workshops for the North American region:
We encourage sign up to the full program of a single presentation of the course (represented by a single row in the image above). There is currently no charge for this service.
If you’d be interested in joining us here are a few things to consider:
- The program is intended for new users who are happy to use ‘out of the box’ settings.
- Customization and System Manager tasks (e.g., Template Design, User Account Management, Model Design) are NOT covered on this program.
- The prerequisite materials are compulsory and active participation on the workshops is required. Please schedule the time necessary to fulfil these requirements before committing to the program.
- Workshop sessions take place on a training cloud, accessed via screen share with a facilitator. This means no installation, licenses or data are required for the workshops themselves.
- Licenses, cloud instance and data are not provided for use outside the workshops (although your own resources can obviously be used, subject to your own internal policies).
- Enrolment into the program does involve a few steps, some of which involve specific actions by delegates themselves. As such it is best to register interest as soon as possible.
- Each of these presentations of the program is delivered with the North American region in mind. This is reflected in the course timing and materials.
